The Historic Milestone for BiH revealed

presidencyMaking a speech at Bosnian Parliament, European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security Federica Mogherini expressed her pleasure due to adoption of the statement of the European commitment and stated that this is a historic milestone for Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Federica Mogherini, who is paying an official visit to Bosnia, addressed a speech to Bosnia-Herzegovina Parliament on Monday after holding several meetings with at the Presidential Council which consisting of three members representing Bosnia, Croatia and Serbia. Mogherini underscored that the country has a challenging path to cover to implement EU reforms such as the implementation of socio-economic reforms, tackling unemployment, reforms in the areas of health, education, the establishment of measures to strengthen the rule of law, administrative capacity at all levels, coordination system in the context of the preparation for future membership in the EU.

“Bosnia-Herzegovina made a historic decision today. It is time for Bosnian politicians to move the country forward. It is time for the country to unfold and realize its potential. You don’t have the luxury of repeating the mistakes of politicians before you. Your people expect from you better infrastructure. Take care of your people and your neighbors. Everyone is aspiring to move forward and it is time for you also to do so,” Mogherini added.

EU’s High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security also highlighted that the main obstacle that Bosnia-Herzegovina should come over as soon as possible is unemployment of youth which almost have reached to %60.

Mogherini’s speech was listened by all parliament members except from members of Presidential Council, Cabinet members and Serbian deputies.
