Increase in the Number of first-time registered Vehicles in BiH

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, 8,505 motor vehicles were registered for the first time in December 2024, which represents a growth of 20.8 percent compared to December of the previous year, according to the Agency for Statistics of BiH.

Of the total number of vehicles registered for the first time in December, the most common were passenger cars (82.8 percent) and trucks (7.1 percent), while the smallest share was registered mopeds (0.2 percent).

In total, 110,736 first-time registered vehicles were recorded in 2024, which is an increase of 19,749 vehicles or 21.7 percent more than the year before. There were 84,928 passenger cars (up 23.8 percent), and 7,408 newly registered trucks (up 26.1 percent).

There were 17,765 new motor vehicles registered for the first time in 2024, an increase of 1,189 vehicles or 7.2 percent compared to the previous year. There were 9,254 new passenger cars (up 2.6 percent), and 1,688 trucks (up 11.1 percent).
