From 13-18 March in Skenderija Center in Sarajevo the 31st International Fair of Forestry, Wood, Furniture Interior Decoration and other products from wood called INTERIO 2013 will be held.
As the most important annual fair for furniture in BiH, INTERIO in the past few years grew into an important regional event to gather producers of furniture and other products from wood, as well as a large number of consumers, retailers, wholesalers, agents and businesspeople from this industry.
INTERIO 2013 will be a great opportunity for businesspeople from the region to meet with consumers from EU countries at the business meetings of INTERIO B2B that are scheduled. Participants in B2B meetings will be manufacturers of the best products from wood (furniture, floors, building materials, prefabricated homes).
BiH producers possess the prestigious FSC certificate for wood, and they have the most advanced technological capacities ranging from advanced to CNC machines to traditional processing and carving.
Production of furniture has improved in the last few years through investment in the development of furniture design, so that BiH has a world-class design. This was confirmed at the renowned fair IMM 2011 and IMM 2012 in Cologne, which is the leading annual event in European furniture industry.
Within the rich program of INTERIO 2013 a competition called “From Wood with Love” will take place. It is a competition for the design of furniture and products from wood, where participants from the entire region can enter. The exhibition of the most successful design solutions will take place on the first day of the fair.
Center Skenderija Sarajevo is the organizer of the INTERIO 2013 fair in partnership with USAID-SIDA FIRMA project of BiH, the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH, regional development agencies NERDA, REZ and SERDA and the Association of Wood Cluster of BiH.
