The role of the Office for Social Care of the IC is to provide assistance and support to individuals, associations, the elderly, the sick, the frail, returnees, and to provide scholarships for students, aid for farmers, etc.

Islamic Community in BiH, through this office and its organizational units, collected and implemented a financial assistance amounting to more than 12 million BAM for various humanitarian activities in 2015.

Hasan Mrkonja, Secretary of Medical Association BIMA, urged the public to help in the procurement of high-quality ultrasound machines, adequate ECG and other equipment that is necessary for their work. Their work until now was monitored through the Institute for Maternity of CS, health care centers and other institutions where they rented devices, but their lack is often tripping factor for work of BIMA.

Expert associate for relations with non-governmental organizations in the Directorate for Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of IC, mr. Medina Mehmedovic-Mulalic, talked about the project, its duration and the way of implementation.

The project includes visits of doctors’ teams of return, gynecological and other kinds of examinations and the purchase of portable ultrasound machines. It is intended for returnees without health insurance, the elderly persons without relatives, and all those who do not have necessary medical care for some reason.

The campaign will be implemented in 2016 with visits to Glamoc, Kotor Varos, Prnjavor, Srebrenica and other places.
