The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska, Dragan Lukac, condemned today’s brutal murder of police officer Radenko Basic in Prijedor.

“We have lost a great professional and a great man. This attack is an attack on the entire Republika Srpska Police and we will do everything in our power to find the perpetrator of this crime,” said Minister Dragan Lukac, who is on an official visit to Israel.

He expressed his sincere condolences to the Basic family.

Minister Lukac said that all available resources of the Ministry of the Interior were engaged, from the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit and the Gendarmerie Unit to the regular forces, all with the aim of finding the perpetrator of this brutal act. He reminded that the investigation is led by the Directorate for Organized and Serious Crime in cooperation with the Prijedor Police Department.

The Minister called on the citizens to cooperate and in case they have any useful information related to this case, to contact the nearest police station or call 122.
