Significant Decrease in Number of Eggs placed in Hatcheries in December last Year in Bosnia

The number of eggs placed in hatcheries in December of 2019 decreased by 15,46% in relation with the same period of 2018.

The total number of hatched day-old chicks in hatcheries during December of 2019 increased by 0,89% in relation with the same period of 2018, according to Bosnia-Herzegovina’s Agency for Statistics.

In November of 2019 the total amount of collected cow’s milk decreased by 0,2% in relation with the same period of 2018. Production of drinking milk decreased by 3,3%, cream by 12,5% and acidified milk by 13,7%, while the production of butter and other yellow fat products increased by 14,8% and cow’s cheese by 3,8% in relation with the same period of 2018.

The total amount of milk fat decreased by 2,0%, and the total amount of milk protein decreased by 2,0% in relation with the same period of 2018.

In November 2019 the number of slaughtered cattle decreased by 2,25% and sheep by 1,20%, while the number of slaughtered pigs increased by 19,52% and poultry by 1,64% in relation with the same period of 2018.

The net weight of slaughtered cattle increased by 7,90%, of slaughtered sheep by 6,45%, of slaughtered pigs by 11,66% and of slaughtered poultry by 1,77% in relation with the same period of 2018.

The number of eggs placed in hatcheries in November of 2019 decreased by 10,21% in relation with the same period of 2018.

The total number of hatched day-old chicks in hatcheries during November of 2019 decreased by 2,72% in relation with the same period of 2018.
