Alarming Numbers of Persons infected with COVID-19 in Bosnia and Herzegovina

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, 310 new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered, according to data from the entity public health institutes.

This is the highest number of confirmed cases in one day in BiH since the beginning of the pandemic, Vijesti.ba news portal reports.

In the Federation of BiH entity, 1,199 samples were tested, and positive were 196 cases, according to the data of the Federal Institute of Public Health, in the past 24 hours. So far, 65,694 samples have been tested in the Federation of BiH, and the coronavirus has been confirmed in 3,320 people.

As of today, 1,425 patients in the Federation of BiH have recovered, 98 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours.

There are currently 1,822 coronavirus cases active, and 73 deaths have been reported so far. In the last 24 hours, one death was reported, a male person from Sarajevo (1933).

A total of 114 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in Republika Srpska, said the acting director of the RS Institute of Public Health, Branislav Zeljko, epidemiologistogist at the Jelena Đaković Dević Institute stated that 582 samples were tested, and that one death was reported.
