Deminers Marked 39 Minefields After Floods in RS

mineDemining teams of RS Civil Protection have checked so far a total of 112.500 m2 of flooded areas and 39 minefields are marked from 21 May until today.

The entity police confirmed that the deminers who are engaged in removing mines in the flooded affected areas have so far collected 293 hand grenades, 60 rifle grenades, 27 missiles, 24 AP mines, 2 rockets and one airline bomb, as well as other small ammunition ( trotil, bullets etc).

Demining teams will continue to operate in the areas of Doboj, Šamac, Donji Žabar in order to remove mines and explosive means that can be found during the cleaning of flooded buildings and land.

Citizens are warned that if they suspect of explosive devices while cleaning their houses and other subjects to immediately stop working and to call 121 or the nearest police officer that he can call the deminers.
