Marko Trifković pleaded guilty by mutual agreement in the case of Sarajevo policemen Adis Šehović and Davor Vujinović at the end of October 2018 in the settlement of Alipašino Polje.

This information was confirmed for Klix.ba by Trifković’s lawyer Dražen Zubak, who emphasized that the agreement stipulated a sentence of 15 years for his client. In addition to Trifković, Savo Marinković and Aleksandar Macan are on trial for the murder of policemen.

Given that Trifković admitted his guilt, his case will be separated from the other defendants, and a hearing will be scheduled where the plea agreement will be considered.

Marinković is accused of killing police officers Šehović and Vujinović, firing at least 20 bullets from a machine gun. Šehović died at the scene, while Vujinović died in hospital a few hours later. The police officers were killed after they caught the accused stealing a Volkswagen Golf 6 car with Croatian license plates.

Namely, according to the indictment, Macan was sitting in the Golf, which he tried to start with Trifković, while Marinković was in the passenger seat of the Seat Leon car, keeping watch for them. The Prosecution claims that Marinković fired a machine gun at the police vehicle in which Šehović and Vujinović were, and that the defendants fled in a Seat Leon in the direction of Lukavica and Pale, where they left the vehicle and dismantled and buried the machine gun. It is claimed they used the Sky mobile app to send encrypted messages.

The trial of Trifković, Marinković and Macan before the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo began in February last year.
