New Cases of Coronavirus Positive Patients in Canton Sarajevo

During the past 24 hours, 13 newly infected with coronavirus were recorded in Sarajevo Canton, out of 444 tested. Twelve people recovered from Covid infection, and there were no deaths. Of the mentioned number of newly infected, seven persons belong to family clusters or contacts with previously infected persons, which is why they are in self-isolation from before.

Currently, 50 patients are hospitalized in Canton Sarajevo, 34 at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and at the General Hospital “Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakas ”16 of them.

There are no patients on a respirator, and oxygen support for breathing above 15 liters per minute is not used by any of the hospitalized who are currently being treated for Covid infection in these hospitals.

In the past 24 hours, one person was discharged from treatment. Today, Sarajevo Canton records 207 active cases of Covid-19 infection. There are currently 1,007 people in self-isolation.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in the Sarajevo Canton, a total of 52,554 people have been infected with the coronavirus and 51,064 have been cured.

According to the CS Public Health Institute, in the past seven days, the average number of infected people is eight, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 13.
