The sixth international “Trebinje Energy Summit“ begins Today

The sixth international “Trebinje Energy Summit” /SET/ begins today, and over the course of three days, experts will exchange views on, among other things, the energy future of the countries in the region, climate change and the decarbonization of the energy sector.

SET will begin at 12:10 PM at the Trebinje Cultural Center and will last until March 21, and is expected to gather around 600 participants.

The opening of SET will be addressed by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Staša Košarac, the Minister of Energy and Mining of the Republika Srpska, Petar Đokić, the Assistant Minister of Mining and Energy of Serbia, Milan Aleksić, and the Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vedran Lakić.

The General Director of the “Elektroprivreda Republika Srpska” Luka Petrović and the Director of the Energy Community, Artur Lorkovski, will also speak, the organizers announced.

Among the most important topics at SET will be climate change and the transmission grid, decarbonization, a just transition of the energy sector, challenges and investments in renewable energy sources and transmission grid reliability.

Seven panel discussions are planned, with the participation of 40 experts in the fields of electricity production, transmission and trading, and other energy fields from several countries.

SET is expected to host the greatest experts in the field of energy, as in previous years, as well as scientists and decision-makers from the fields of energy, economy and industry, who will discuss the energy future.

The summit is organized by SET and “Elektroprivreda Republika Srpska”, with the institutional support of the Government of Republika Srpska and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH.
