Grabovica on Blok 7: Choice of Partner is Going According to Plan

The General Director of “Elektroprivreda BiH” Elvedin Grabovica said yesterday for ‘Dnevni Avaz’ that the project partner for the construction of Blok 7 of Tuzla power plant could be known by May or June of this year. In November of last year “Elektroprivreda BiH” chose 11 global companies that met the required criteria needed to have the biggest post-war investment worth 1.5 billion KM.

“We are still gathering data and sharing information. This is a great project and we do not want to leave anything to chance. The second phase of the project is expected to begin in April, when we will make a short list of the most serious bidders. Of course, it all depends on whether there will be an appeal. For now, as things stand, everything is going according to plan. There were stories that strategic partners insisted on majority ownership of Blok 7 TE, but that is not true’’, said Grabovica.

The construction of Blok 7 is expected to begin in 2014, and the facility would become operational by 2018.
